Notes on adding / editing using this feature
The Contacts Upload is for managing online registration via a website or Intranet. This means your contacts can register online for various events and activities. The data captured in Contacts Upload is exported from the ContactMD Activity Central feature.
Contacts Upload is available with ContactMD v10.1. To access go to Start > ContactMD > Contacts Upload.
Use
Data Source to locate the data file called
contacts_upload.mdb. You can then add / edit as required.
If you are merging with a bulk emailing package (i.e. GroupMail) then you would connect to
contacts_upload.mdb file and all contact data is stored in the
tblAddMain table.
Notes on filtering
- If you need to bulk email to the whole then you would not use any filters.
- The tblAddMain table includes the Filter Code filed when exported from the ContactMD
- If you need to add new contacts and only bulk email these, then add a Filter Code '/NEW/'. You then set your bulk mailing package to only send to the '/NEW/' contacts. NB: renew the code prior to identifying the next batch.
Notes on uploading the contacts_upload.mdb data file online
This requires FTP and liaise with Logos Flow on how best to do this.
NB: if you have added new contacts you will need to upload the data file prior to bulk messaging (otherwise the new contacts will not be online).
